FAQ's & Policies
Collection Numbering & Availability
Collection Numbering
All collections are assigned consecutive positive numbers. For each numbered collection, there is a corresponding “negative” counterpart that contains up to the same number of pieces and uses the same algorithm. These negative-numbered pieces are sold exclusively in person—such as at live shows, galleries, events, or through my own vending efforts. I am committed to never offering negative-numbered pieces for sale online.
Piece Numbering
Each piece in a numbered collection will clearly indicate its place in that collection (for example, “1 of 8”). However, there may be a small number of additional works that are not offered for general sale, including:
- Printing Proofs:
Labeled as “0/n” or “00/n,” etc. - Artist Proofs:
Limited to either three pieces or 5% of the total collection size, whichever is greater. These often feature subtle variations in their finish and are numbered using negative integers (e.g., “Negative 1 of 8”).
Unique (1-of-1) Artworks
Any artwork that is a one-of-a-kind piece (1 of 1) and does not belong to a numbered collection will be designated as part of Collection 0. These unique works will be organized and listed under Collection 0 on the website.
Geographic Editions
You may see something like “US Edition” or “UK Edition” noted on a piece. This is part of an eventual plan to accommodate customers around the world by distributing certain editions directly from their respective regions to reduce shipping costs. At this stage, all editions are marked [US Edition] for consistency. I’ll detail any future geographic editions in the blog posts that accompany new collections.
Postage & Shipping
All orders ship from Los Angeles, California via USPS, and I aim to dispatch your artwork within 2–3 business days.*
[Important Note: The first day I am able to dispatch orders will be approximately 13th March due to travel commitments. After that date the 2-3 business day estimate is accurate.]
Shipping Rates for 9"x12" Artwork*
- Domestic (USA): $4.99
Estimated delivery: 2–8 days - International: $19.99
Estimated delivery: 7–21 days, depending on your location
*Each 9"x12" artwork is shipped in a rigid flat mailer, protected by a plastic sleeve and a sturdy backing board for extra protection during transit.
I understand that shipping costs—especially for international orders—can be high, and I apologize for any inconvenience. As I learn more about the shipping process, I’ll continue searching for ways to lower these costs. Thank you for your patience and support!
Import Duties & Taxes
Some countries may charge import duties or taxes when your artwork arrives. Unfortunately, I’m unable to predict or cover these fees. If you’re charged a significant amount, please email me at atlasautomata@gmail.com with proof of payment. I’ll gladly offer you a personal discount code for that amount on a future purchase. This also helps me better understand various customs fees so I can refine my pricing and shipping policies over time.
Refunds, Returns & Exchanges
At this time, I’m unable to offer returns or exchanges on artworks, except in the following circumstances:
Damaged Orders
If your order arrives damaged, please email a photo of the damage to atlasautomata@gmail.com within one week of delivery. I’ll arrange either a special reprint of that edition or a full refund—whichever you prefer.
Missing Orders
If your artwork hasn’t arrived by the end of the estimated shipping timeframe, please contact me at atlasautomata@gmail.com, and I’ll do my best to help locate it or provide a suitable resolution.
Framing & Displays
Currently, I only offer unframed artworks. Once I gain more experience with packaging and shipping, I plan to introduce framed and unframed options—first in the USA, and eventually internationally if it proves feasible. Thank you for your understanding and for supporting my art as I continue to grow!
